so.. i recently went to go see a movie alone... i haven't done that in awhile, and i really liked it.... i think i'm going to do it more often.:) anyway.. so.. i went to go see "phoebe in Wonderland" and let me tell you........ it was AMAZING!!!! First of all, the cast is fabulous... but Elle fanning is unbelievable!! She gave me chills several times throughout the movie and gave me an emotional rollercoaster ride for days!! i cried and laughed so many different times, i felt i was bipolar! lol
the thing that i really loved about the movie is that it celebrates people that are "different" on many levels. Growing up, i was always so insecure and tried soooo hard to fit in.. and the thing that bothered me the most was the fact that i was aware of it but i wanted to be someone else... But with age and experiences in life has taught me that as long as i'm true to myself, i can always look back, and forward without any regrets.! Go see it!! i promise that you will walk out of the theatre with more hope to live out your dreams, and more hope to be proud of who you are.....:) click HD on the video
It really looks like a great movie, I'll see it for sure! I LAHV seeing movies alone! It allows me to get into the movie 100% because I'm not aware of anyone around me like I would be if I was there with someone.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely dying to see this film -- but alas, we don't get the good stuff in lowly Nebraska. *grrr* Well, it'll be at redbox someday . . .
ReplyDeleteThe "being true to yourself" lesson is a tough, but good and necessary thing. Even harder is watching your little ones change from their vibrant, unafraid little selves into self-doubters cowed by social norms. How to teach them to appreciate themselves as they are? I suppose that's something they will, in the end, have to learn on their own . . . and learning the lesson only makes them better people, yeah? :)
