when was the last time you went to go see a movie that truly inspired you creatively? are you interested???? huh??? huh????? you MUST go see 'EVERY LITTLE STEP'!!!! it's a documentary movie of the audition process of CHORUS LINE. i initially wanted to go and see this movie because i knew that i my friend jason tam was in it and i wanted to go and support him.. and let me tell you!!!!!!!!!!! oh boy!!!!!!!!!! i walked out with so many different emotions that i felt i couldn't handle it..... mark and i sat there, and we couldn't talk for a min... and we just looked at each other in awwwwww!!!! This movie brilliantly shows the heart, guts, love, determination, and inner strength that dancers bare, every time they go to an audition..... Dance life really isn't for anyone with a weak heart . you better have the stomach for it!! haha i know this because there were many times when i would go to an audition, i would want to just throw up and get it over with!!!!lol.. this movie focuses on dancers, but i think this really speaks for everyone who is in the industry, willing to put everything on the line with such hope and love for artistry, knowing that rejection is so just around the corner.... at the end of the day, you really must love yourself because they are not going to like you all the time.... it's 100 NOs to 1 YES!! that's the reality, yet, LOVE that you have for the artistry makes you keep coming back for more..>!!!!! its freakin insane!!!!

so... i recently had the pleasure of dancing for an artist named KEVIN STEA!!! He is a well known dancer in L.A. who's worked in many movies and with different artists, and now, he's making a name for himself as an artist as well. He is soooo talented, humble and sooo creative.!! i had an amazing time working with him !! here's is the video of his performance at choreographer's ball.. ENJOY~

so.... if you guys know me, you know that singing has been my passion for as long as i can remember... dancing and doing makeup are two things that i kind of fell into, and happen to be good at.... don't get me wrong, i've worked really hard at training for dance and makeup and i love it dearly, and i have passion for both of those things, but my very first love has always been and always will be music and singing... But the weird thing is, fear has always held me back. I never thought i was good enough and always judged myself way too harsh.. but i decided that i don't want to live my life in fear anymore... this may sound a little corny or silly, but putting up my very first video of me singing on youtube is a huge deal to me.. It means that i am actually opening up and sharing my voice with others... its never too late, and better late than never, i say!!! lol soooo enjoy!!!!!!

phoebe in wonderland

so.. i recently went to go see a movie alone... i haven't done that in awhile, and i really liked it.... i think i'm going to do it more often.:) anyway.. so.. i went to go see "phoebe in Wonderland" and let me tell you........ it was AMAZING!!!! First of all, the cast is fabulous... but Elle fanning is unbelievable!! She gave me chills several times throughout the movie and gave me an emotional rollercoaster ride for days!! i cried and laughed so many different times, i felt i was bipolar! lol
the thing that i really loved about the movie is that it celebrates people that are "different" on many levels. Growing up, i was always so insecure and tried soooo hard to fit in.. and the thing that bothered me the most was the fact that i was aware of it but i wanted to be someone else... But with age and experiences in life has taught me that as long as i'm true to myself, i can always look back, and forward without any regrets.! Go see it!! i promise that you will walk out of the theatre with more hope to live out your dreams, and more hope to be proud of who you are.....:) click HD on the video

Discrete Royalty fashion show

so.. this past weekend, i had the pleasure of being part of an amazing fashion show in downtown L.A.!!
the designer's name is Tevin Cruz and he represents DISCRETE ROYALTY!!!!!
it was bananas!!! hair was incredible.... although it hurt like a mofo and i think i had about 40 bobby pins in my head....lol it looked amazing,.. i mean.. that's what really matters, right?!! and the clothes are fresh and so creative and yet so wearable. there was a mini runway by the pool with candles and mood lighting and people were casually watching while sipping their drinks. it was dope!!!

10 random things people may not know about me...

so..... i was thinking today.....

as i continue to journey through life and go through new experiences, and overcome challenges in my life, i've discovered some characteristics that i may have either put it behind my brain and never realized... or developed over the years, and i wanted to share that with you.. so here it is...

1) I'm a constant seeker of kindness...

(about 3 years ago, i've made a conscious effort to be a better person. To be kind to others in ALL circumstances are hard, but i strive to do my best...)

2)I don't know why, but I put up a tough exterior.

( why do i do that? i don't know... people think i'm sooo tough and so strong... sometimes i want to scream out that i need someone to hold me..)

3)I'm clueless about my heritage 

( this is something i need to work on... I was born in seoul, korea.. and grew up in hawaii all my life.. because i don't have a strong relationship with my parents, i don't really know about being korean. i wish i knew the culture and the language at least... so i really need to work on that..BUT i do know that I LOVE korean food~~~ hey, that's a start!)

4) FEAR drives me and breaks me

(I've been leading a life as a dancer for 11 years now.. and i love it. and i happen to be good at it. it feels natural and it feels good to me. it feels good to express myself that way.. but i've always wanted to be a singer ever since i was little...  but FEAR is my enemy.. it tells me i'm not good enough... so FEAR drives me to prove that i am good enough and more. i've recently started working on this project and it feels amazing!!! i can't wait to release!)

5)I love L.A.

( i moved here when i was 19 full of hope and drive, and no naive!!!  and i hated it. i was soooo lonely and i wasnt prepared. so after about a year, i ended up moving back home to hawaii. since then, my mind's been back here... always.... i was never fully happy... so i moved back to L.A. in 2007. Guess what? i love it!! i understand a little more about myself and where i want to head in life.. i love being around creative people and they really inspire me.. and what better place than L.A. to be around creativity, right?!!!

6)i love PRINCE! i really do... 

( he is on a different level of creativity. he is so interesting to me.. i always wonder what is going on inside his head...... and his music...  come on!!)

7) I wish i had the characteristics of being myself 100% of the time!

(This bothers me a lot!!! WTF?! oh and when i'm around someone i really like.... forget about it..... after hanging out with that person, i walk away feeling ," i swear i'm really fun!! "

i hate that...... if you know the cure to this.... please tell me how!)

8)i like to watch sad movies and cry my eyes out.. and then i feel so much better...

i do this often..lol

9)i love staying home!!!

( i love going out and having fun, but most of the time, i just wanna stay in with some takeout food and a good movie... like.....80% of the time... this is what i do)

10)i really love my friends...

(my golden friends are amazing... i don't really let people into my life easily.. so when i make friends, i'm really careful, and i take my sweet time. I am so greatful for my friends and i can't live without them... i am truly blessed.)

MY FAVORITE NEW KIDS!!!! DONNIE!!!

SO...... This is really embarrassing.... but i recently got a chance to meet one of my favorite people in the world... i mean... i'm talking.... i've been worshiping this guy since i was 10!!

i'll give you 5 big clues, see if you can guess( unless you're already looking at the pic, then you cant play!)

clue#1: The biggest 90's boy band

clue#2: he is also a well known actor

clue#3: he has a younger brother who is also a well known actor

clue#4: he's hot! and talented!

clue#5: the band that he is part of.. just made a big come back!!!!

yes....everyone... I am talking about The new kids on the block!! 

so..... my fav new kids is Donnie and i've always dreamt of meeting him ever since i was in 5th grade, and i just recently made that dream come true!!!!!

he was soooo nice... heard i was a fan and came to meet me!!! its a long story....... 

anyway... i didn't know what to do, and i got sooooo flustered, i ended up screaming my head off and ran away from him.... after few more screams.... i was able to settle down and talked to him for a bit.. he was soooo nice!!! we ran into each other couple times after that during his tour rehearsals, and let me tell you.. he gives the BEST hugs EVER!!!!! lol

JUSTIN NOZUKA

He is amazing! sure, he can sing his face off, but i really appreciate his humble ora, and his true passion for music. you can clearly see it through his performances. i'm going to see him and his band perform on 03-21-09 at the orpheum theatre in L.A. and you should come!!
